Kaiyi , Multidisciplinary Designer, began to make leather artworks in 2007 and every piece of artwork was designed and handcrafted by the designer himself. Hisearly artworks created in leather were inspired by archery, mostly quivers and other archery accessories. A number of fashionitems were also created during the same period. In 2012-2015, Kaiyi was invited to participate in Beijing Design Week and other exhibitions to show his unique works. He also curated exhibitions and gave speeches at various forums. His artworks have won numbers of awards and received positive feedback from the public.

In recent years, most of his works were inspired by the motorcycle culture, including one of his works – “Retro and Passion- Handcraft Leather Mini Motorcycle” (This work was put up for the China Guardian Auction 2013 and was later chosen in the collection of the Nanjing Zhuzi Art Museum). Another work of his, the “Helmet of the Predator”, which received wide attention, was frequentlyintroducedby different media platforms in 2015. Later in 2016, Kaiyi refitted his Harley-Davidson as one of his artwork. Beginning in 2017, he started his work in interior design and was working on different projects such as design studios and private clubs. His furniture design will also be exhibited in Beijing Design Week 2018.
